LOS ANGELES, CA — (Marketwire) — 09/21/10 — Stefanie Michaels (aka Adventure Girl®) — the travel author and online megastar with more than one million Twitter followers — has been tapped to serve as a judge on MSN’s new web-based reality series “The Tastemaker.”

Michaels, who was named “America’s Tweetheart” by Vanity Fair, is joined on the show by “The Apprentice” Season 2 winner Kelly Perdew and film maker Jason Pollock, to judge which rising social media influencer will become the next online “Tastemaker.”

“It’s a thrill to be a judge on the first reality show that challenges participants to make the best use of social media,” Michaels said. “Sites like Twitter are changing how we communicate, and ‘The Tastemaker’ honors and celebrates the people making a difference.”

The show features six social media influencers who battle it out over six weeks to capture the most attention, and in-turn win a $10,000 prize. Each contestant is an activist and entrepreneur, proving that it’s possible for anyone to become influential in the new world of social media, so long as he or she has a point of view and is willing to work hard.

The series debuted on September 13th. New episodes can be seen every Monday and Thursday morning at http://tastemaker.msn.com through October 21st, when Michaels will help crown “The Tastemaker.”
